Today at work I went really simple in this comfy grey sweater and black skinny jeans. I dressed it up a little with a statement necklace and heels. I felt comfortable but still put together - the best feeling! There are definitely times when I just feel like throwing on hoodie and sweatpants to tackle the day, but I always feel the best when I "dress up" a little. It makes me more confident and productive...definitely a good thing for a Monday!

One of my favorite color combos is grey and light pink. It's so fresh and feminine. This is such an easy look to dress up or down. It's amazing how the heels and oversize clutch instantly make the look more flirty and sophisticated. This is a great sweater for summer. It's so light and airy - not too hot when you're outside, but it still keeps you warm in chilly offices and restaurants! And these grey jeans - amazing! They go with so much and are a nice break from blue jeans. I'm going to have to break the "night" outfit out for a date with the girls!!

This weekend we went back to my old stomping grounds at Indiana University to celebrate a wonderful bride and groom! It was a blast and is always so fun to catch up with friends. The weather was so warm and perfect for a light and breezy shift dress. And the bright floral pattern was PERFECT for a summer evening on the town. I hope you all had an awesome weekend!

Doesn't this just look like the perfect outfit to garden in?? ;) Okay, just kidding - so don't mind our veggies in the background! We are doing casual summers at work - sooo nice to get to wear jeans every day! But that doesn't mean you can't look put together! Booties and a 3/4-sleeve top might seem weird in the summer, but the office is soooo cold. I almost have to dress the opposite of the season to be comfortable in there - I'm sure you can relate!
Now, I'm headed out for a little retail therapy to start my weekend off right. I need a cute pair of summer wedges - wish me luck!!

Today was sooooo dreary and rainy. It's been like that all week! So I definitely needed a little mid-week pick me up! This bright skirt did the trick. It feels so wonderful on and the color just makes you feel cheery. The coral lip balm to match my necklace and skirt - LOVE! Bonus: it has a great smell. Sadly the rain is not going away - which means tomorrow's outfit has to be bright too!
It's summer, and I am so excited! I decided to do a little photo shoot before heading out to an amusement park with the family...before the amusement park took its toll. Ha! Within minutes of being outside the hair immediately went into a bun and the sweat started pouring. But that didn't stop us from having a blast! FYI this room in my house is what I call the "vacation room." It's where all of our vacation souvenirs and beachy decor end up! It's nice to have a little getaway room in your house. :)
